Jackie chases Breeders Crown berth
ECKLIN pacer Keayang Jackie has progressed to the semi-finals of the Breeders Crown for three year-old fillies following a strong heat win last Friday night.

ECKLIN pacer Keayang Jackie has progressed to the semi-finals of the Breeders Crown for three year-old fillies following a strong heat win last Friday night.
The daughter of A Rocknroll Dance claimed a 2.9 metre victory in the second heat of the Pryde’s Easifeed Breeders Crown Series for three year-old fillies at Bendigo for trainer Marg Lee and driver Jason Lee.
It was Keayang Jackie’s sixth win for the season and ninth career victory, with the result extending her prize money to almost $50,000 for connections.
She will now head to the semi-finals at Melton this Saturday night, with a spot in the $200,000 final on November 21 up for grabs.
Speaking on Trots Vision post-race, Jason Lee was optimistic about Keayang Jackie’s semi-final chances.
“I think she’s every bit a winning chance if she can get through next week and nothing goes bad,” he said.
“Sometimes it can be harder to qualify than win the race if you get the right draw or the right run, but look she’s going to need a lot to go her way but I think any of them do – they’re all pretty even.
“If she gets in and gets the right run she’s definitely a winning chance.”
Keayang Jackie will race in the second semi-final at 7.02pm on Saturday night.
Lee will also contest the first semi-final of the three year-old colts and geldings Breeders Crown with Jilliby Nitro as well as the second semi-final of the two year-old colts and geldings edition with Keayang Kamikaze at 9.40pm.
Paddy Lee will also head to headquarters, with Ash Park set to race in the three year-old fillies second semi-final at 10.07pm.
