January rainfall above average
JANUARY proved to be a wet start at the year.
Rainfall: January was a wetter than average start to the year this year.
A total of 58.4mm was recorded over Cobden during the month, with a highest daily fall recorded on January 17 with 22.8mm hitting the ground.
The figure rose above the long-term average of 41.5mm, and surpassed the dry start to the year when just 16mm was recorded during the month.
