MORTLAKE Country Women’s Association Day Branch member Jean Edwards was recently recognised for four decades of service.

Ms Edwards was presented with a certificate of recognition for her 40 years of service at the Mortlake CWA Day Branch annual general meeting recently.

CWA South Western Group president Bev Byron presented Ms Edwards with her certificate.

Ms Edwards is a keen craftswoman and cook, who rarely misses a meeting and is widely respected for her enthusiasm.

She first joined the Caramut CWA Branch, and then transferred to Mortlake when it folded.

In her acceptance speech, Ms Edwards said she was “honoured” to have her service recognised and has “enjoyed her involvement with CWA over the years, particularly the fellowship and service to the community”.
