Jimmy Kenna Memorial Winners

Last Sunday, at the Terang golf club, the inaugural running of the Jimmy Kenna Memorial three person ambrose took place.

Last Sunday, at the Terang golf club, the inaugural running of the Jimmy Kenna Memorial three person ambrose took place.

A great turnout of 132 golfers took to the fairways for what will now become an annual club fixture in Jimmy’s memory.

Results of the day were as follows:

Handicap winners were George Beasley, Fred Beasley, Riley Scanlon 58 (3/6) 57 3/6; with runners-up Maureen Kenna, Eddie Kenna, Lachie Kenna 72 (12 1/6) 59 5/6.

Scratch winners were Anthony Kavanagh, Caleb Kavanagh, Josh Brown 63 from runners-up Adam McLeod, Eli McLeod, James McLeod 66.

Down the line: Phil Beasley, Leo Beasley, Trev Beasley 66 (6) 60; Tony Kenna, James Kenna, Brendan Kenna 66 (5 4/6) 60 2/6.

Nearest the pins winners were Rob Cornelissen (third hole), Neil Grundy (sixth hole), Sharee Scanlon (ninth hole), Paul Healey (11th hole).

Longest Drives: Men: Riley Scanlon; Women: Michelle Beasley.

Raffle Winner: Anthony Kavanagh, kindly donated by Bourkey’s Tyres.

Last Saturday’s golf was a stableford event in tricky blustery conditions.

Results as follows:

Winner was Billy Wood (14) 37 points with runner-up Riley Scanlon (5) 36 .

Down the line winners: Nick Marshall (22) 36 points; Phil Beasley (1) 35 points and Fred Beasley (+2) 33 points

Nearest the pins winners; Sharee Scanlon (third hole), Riley Scanlon (sixth hole), Tyler Beasley (eight hole), Fred Beasley (11th hole).

Next week: stableford.

February monthly medal will be first week of club championships, which will also be medal of medalist and putting championships
