Juniors do well on the green
YOUNG bowlers have enjoyed an under 18s singles’ competition at the Camperdown Golf Bowls Club.
YOUNG bowlers have enjoyed an under 18s singles’ competition at the Camperdown Golf Bowls Club.
In what was a first for the club, a junior squad was formed during the recent school holidays.
Twelve students participated in the squad, which led to the club’s very first under 18s singles competition.
The competition attracted 10 young players, with five boys and five girls playing during an afternoon of sunshine.
Jaida Mahoney won the girls’ event and Kona Kerr won the boys’, with runners-up going to Macy Mahoney and Noah Riches.
Well done to all those who went along; the club looks forward to welcoming them all back throughout the coming months.
If anyone, junior or senior, is interested in going along for a roll they are most welcome.
There are mats and jacks available at the green.
