Kangaroo control rebate on offer
FARMERS who have livestock competing with kangaroos for fodder can now apply for an on-farm kangaroo control rebate.

Eligible farmers across the state can access up to three rebates of $450 each (plus GST) with a 25 per cent co-contribution.
Rebates are to be used to engage professional harvesters (authorised by the Game Management Authority) to control eastern and western grey kangaroos under an Authority to Control Wildlife.
The state government has committed $1.8 million to help drought-affected farmers control these kangaroos.
For more information and to apply for a rebate head to the Agriculture Victoria website.
Funding will be available until June 30, 2026 or until funds are exhausted.
