Keep warm and support a worthy cause

AS the weather grows colder, buying a new beanie can help support a worthy cause.

Warm head, big heart: The Bendigo Bank Cobden and Camperdown Community Bank are once again joining forces to sell Big Freeze beanies in support of FightMND, a cause which supports ongoing research efforts.
Warm head, big heart: The Bendigo Bank Cobden and Camperdown Community Bank are once again joining forces to sell Big Freeze beanies in support of FightMND, a cause which supports ongoing research efforts.

The Bendigo Bank Cobden and Camperdown Community Bank have once again united to sell FightMND Big Freeze beanies for the fifth year running.

FightMND was established in 2014 and works towards raising awareness and funding research into motor neurone disease (MND).

The charity has raised more than $115 million since being formed, supporting vital research which may one day help to discover a cure.

Locally, the community bank has been selling Big Freeze beanies since 2019 and has raised more than $8000 towards the cause.

Every beanie sold will see the community bank board donate an additional $10 towards FightMND.

“Our staff love to sell the beanies knowing that this contributes to a greater study of the fight towards stopping MND,” a Cobden and Camperdown Community Bank spokesperson said.

“If you haven’t got your beanie yet, just pop into either the Cobden or Camperdown branch to purchase your beanie from our wonderful staff and know that, as a community bank, we are behind your purchase.”

Beanies can be purchased from the Camperdown branch at 151 Manifold Street, or at the Cobden branch at 37 Curdie Street.
