COBDEN’S division one cricketers put up a valiant effort over the weekend, but pulled up just short on securing their second win of the season.
The Knights, playing Bookaar on Saturday at the Camperdown College Sport Precinct lost 10/201 to Bookaar’s 9/221.
Bookaar won the toss and elected to bat first.
Strong batters for The Knights were Matthew Kemp with 45 and Matthew Boyle on 41.
Campbell Walsh added 27 and Parker Walsh 21 on the lower order.
The Cobden Knights will play Boorcan at the Cobden Recreation Reserve this weekend where they will be hoping to secure another win on the board.
