Knights halt Tigers run
WOORNDOO couldn’t replicate its upset round 11 premier division win over the City United Knights, going down on Saturday to the Cobden Knights by 137 runs.

Tigers captain Tyler Mungean won the toss and elected to send the visitors in.
The move paid early dividends, with Cobden reduced to 3/20.
When Jarryd Walsh took his third wicket, Cobden was 4/60.
An explosive 162 from 88 balls from Lachie Boyle put Cobden right back on top, leading the Knights to 9/325 from its 50 overs.
Josh Mahncke finished with figures of 4/63 from 10 overs, Walsh took 3/31 from 10 overs, with captain Tyler Mungean finishing with 2/42 from 10.
In reply, Woorndoo got off to a blistering start, reaching 1/50 from just five overs.
Tyler Schafer smashed 28 from 11 balls, but his dismissal slowed the innings straight away.
Walsh hit 32 from 27 balls.
In trouble at 5/89, a 63 third wicket partnership between Mungean and Thomas Gray kept hopes alive before Mungean was out caught and bowled for 48 for 67 balls.
Gray contributed 27 from 62 balls.
The Woorndoo innings fell away, bowled out in the 45th over for 188.
This week Woorndoo face its longest road trip, the 15th placed Tigers playing at Apollo Bay against the 14th placed Sharks.
In division three, Woorndoo had a six wicket loss to Ecklin at the Timboon High School oval.
Batting first, Woorndoo posted 8/176 from its 40 overs.
Veteran opener Brendan Mahncke top scored with 78 from 96 balls, hitting nine boundaries.
William Brain made 39 from 46 balls, with Grant Cameron scoring 23 from 27 balls.
Ecklin cruised to victory, making 4/177 in 28 overs.
This week the seventh placed division three Tigers host second placed Pomborneit Gold at the Woorndoo Recreation Reserve.
