Knights shine at league awards

COBDEN cricketers have shone brightly at this week’s South West Cricket Association annual presentation night.

Several players from the Knights featured in the evening’s awards.

In division one, Parker Walsh took out both the bowling award and was named in the Team of the Year.

In division two, Michael Pegg was named Cricketer of the Year and he also took out the batting award.

South West Cricket’s Rising Star awards were presented to Jess Walsh (women) and Parker Walsh (men).

In the senior women’s awards, Ingrid Bellman won the batting award, Jess Walsh was named Cricketer of the Year and fellow Knights’ Jess Walsh, Ingrid Bellman, Abbie Hanks and Phoebe Harris were all named in the Team of the year.

Parker Walsh dominated the under 17 Country Week awards, taking out Player of the Week and a five-wicket haul award.
