Lake Purrumbete Angling Club Notes
LAST Sunday the Lake Purrumbete Angling Club held its presentation day to celebrate their 2025-2026 season.
Plenty of winners took home some great prizes, including club champion Craig Mitchell, runner-up Don Swayn and junior club champion Damon Heinze.
Alyssa Connor and Mia Heinz received an encouragement award and Grant Dodds will now be known as ‘The Batman’ after somehow managing to catch a bat while fishing at Rocklands Reservoir and receiving the Bat Trophy – which we doubt will ever be repeated.
Plenty of other prizes were given out to competition winners and biggest of species winners.
Looking forward to our next season starting next Sunday, June 21 at the Curdies River.
We have a variety of competitions at different locations coming up including some great weekend competitions at Rocklands, Princetown and Nelson.
We even have a carp competition at Lake Colac with some great prizes.
