CAMPERDOWN’S division one side currently sits third on the South West Cricket ladder.

The Lakers have their sights set on a 2023 finals berth, with last weekend’s 38-run victory over Terang giving the team an added confidence boost.

With a strong 40 run knock from opener TharinduRukshan, the Lakers went on to finish the day on 212, restricting Terang to 174 on the board.

Rukshan was ably supported by Harry Sumner with 36 and Jordan Riches 33.

Rukshan continued his fine form with the ball, taking 3/35 off 10 overs while Riches also picked up 2/19 off 10.

In division three the Lakes also celebrated victory, taking the points over the Heytesbury Rebels – 3/91 to 83.

Shane Stephens 25 and Ross McIlveen 18 not out were the best of the Camperdown batsmen while McIlveen also took a handy 4/29 from eight.

Oliver Wright was also among the wickets, finishing the day with figures of 2/17 off eight.
