Lakers to face ladder leaders
AFTER last week’s round was called off, Camperdown return to action tomorrow in round 11 of the Colac-South West premier cricket competition.
The 11th placed Lakers face a stern test, hosting top of the ladder Stoneyford at SA Wright Oval.
In division three, the Lakers play Ecklin at the Camperdown number two oval.
On Wednesday night, Camperdown’s women had a 25 run loss to Cobden Blue.
The visitors batted first at Camperdown number two, posting 1/126 from their 20 overs.
Daisy Courtney took the sole wicket to fall, taking 1/21 from three overs.
In reply, the Lakers made 4/101 from their 20 overs.
Maddison Fisher made 30 retired from 34 balls, hitting three fours.
Brooke Herbertson made 23 from 21 balls, Daisy Courtney 13 from 12 and Ella Riches 10 from 27.
The next game for the Camperdown women is on February 7 against Bookaar.
After the long weekend off, Camperdown’s under 13s are back on Monday night with a game against Heytesbury-Princetown at Camperdown number two.
