League award tops Stella-season
STELLA Horspole topped off another successful Mininera League netball season with a runner-up best and fairest award earlier this week.

Horspole, who plays in Lismore Derrinallum’s 18 and under and B grade sides, polled well at Tuesday night’s league presentation, with the best and fairest award going to Ararat’s Emily Kelly.
This was her fourth consecutive runner-up best and fairest award.
She also finished on top of the 18 and under goal scoring table, shooting 365 for the home and away season.
Lismore Derrinallum’s 18 and under netballers went down by just two goals to Tatyoon in last Sunday’s semi-final, ending their finals campaign.
Horspole and her B grade team-mates reached the elimination finals but lost 36-35 to Great Western.
“I’ve had another really enjoyable season at Lismore Derrinallum,” Horspole said.
“It was disappointing not to reach the preliminary and grand final rounds but we’re all proud of how we went this season.
“The club is a great one to be at and the girls all did really well to finish in the top five.”
