Lee dominates on home track

LOCAL harness racing driver Jason Lee has dominated on his home track, taking six wins at Terang Harness Racing Club’s March meeting.

The eight-race program on March 20 saw Lee first past the post six times, with three of those driving horses trained by mum, Margaret.

Race two, the Good Friday Appeal Trotters Handicap over 1680m, saw Lee drive ‘Wisp of Smoke’ (trained by Robert McCartney) home to victory.

Lee took first place in race 3, the Mt Noorat Freighters Maiden Trot over 2180m, with ‘Keayang Tweetybird’ (trained by Margaret Lee).

Race 4, the Terang Co Op Mitre 10 Pace over 1680m, saw him victorious with ‘Notnegotiable’ (trained by Gary Lawlor).

Lee and ‘Quiet Storm’ took out race 5, Greavesys Fruit & Veg Terang Pace over 2180m, followed by victory in race 6, the 2180m Sungold Milk Trot, with ‘Imperial Monarch.’

Lee capped off the night with win number six in race 7, the Terang Co Op Rural Store Pace over 2180m with the Margaret Lee-trained ‘Jilliby Illuminate’.
