SIMPSON’S senior footballers made it four wins in a row with a 47 point win over the Western Eagles on Saturday.

Scores were level at half-time before the Tigers kicked eight second half goals to the Eagles none to run out 13.8.86 to 5.9.39 winners at the Irrewillipe Recreation Reserve.

Playing his 250th club game, Darcy Leishman was Simpson’s best in the win.

Leishman’s milestone is a combination of senior and reserve games.

A former senior captain, Leishman’s career includes two premierships, interleague representation, as well as junior coaching and committee roles.

Cody Mason led the goal kickers with three, with Jarrod Garth, Nick Duynhoven, Tom Leishman and Grady Rooke kicking two each.

Apart from Darcy Leishman, best for the Tigers were Cody Mason, Louis Duynhoven, Jaymz Farrell, Jayden Rooke and Tom Leishman.

Simpson now sits in fifth place, two wins clear of South Colac and Birregurra.

This week Simpson hosts fourth placed Irrewarra-Beeac at the Simpson Recreation Reserve.

The reserves match saw Simpson score a 8.10.58 to 4.5.29 win.

Sam Newcombe, Shaun Guy, Peter Bell, Cooper Neal, Harry Fleming and Bradey Fratantaro were the Tigers best in the win, Jono Jennings kicking five goals to take his tally to 34 for the season.

The under 15 football saw the undefeated Eagles have a convincing 15.10.100 to 1.0.6 win.

Ben Vogels, Fin Mahoney and Archer Crole were best for Simpson, with Cooper Beecher kicking the only goal.

Simpson was too strong in the under 12 football, recording an 11.7.73 to 4.5.29 win.

Kaiden Teal led the goal kickers for the junior Tigers with three, with Gabriel Capizzi and Jack Vogels kicking two each.

The A grade netball saw the Western Eagles score a convincing 60-40 win.

Sophie Cronin, Eliza Duynhoven and Holly Duynhoven were Simpson’s best in the loss, with Eliza Duynhoven scoring 23 goals and Shelby Cameron 10.

The loss leaves Simpson in ninth place with a record of three wins and eight losses.

The B grade game saw a 43-34 win to the Western Eagles.

Tyra Sambell, Maddi Cunnington and Tahlia Daniels were best for Simpson, with Cunnington shooting 23 goals and Georgia Arndell 11.

The Western Eagles took out the C grade game 41-33.

Rachael Duynhoven, Kayla Hallyburton and Sharni Mason were best in the loss for Simpson, with Duynhoven shooting 17 goals and Hallyburton 15.

The D grade game saw Simpson record a 44-27 victory.

Rebecca Foster, Brianna Ferrari and Leesa Seabrook were best for the Tigers, with Foster shooting 31 goals and Ferrari 13.

The Eagles scored a 46-29 win in the 17 and under netball.

Kustom Robertson, Esha Crole, Tyra Sambell were best for the Tigers in the win, with

Robertson shooting 16 goals and Keisha McVilly 11.

Simpson got the points in the 15 and under netball with a tight 42-40 win.

Milah Crole, Halle Barake and Keisha McVilly were best for the Tigers, with McVilly shooting 28 goals.

The 13 and under netball saw the Western Eagles score a 24-16 win.

Nyha Ford, Lotus Rothery, Alexis Barake were best for the junior Tigers in the loss with Ford scoring nine goals.
