The gathering was organised by the Cobden First Scouts group, which included the reading of a poem, the ode and the singing of both Australia and New Zealand’s national anthems.

Members of the Cobden Scouts raised both the Australia and New Zealand flags to half mast at the beginning of the ceremony, then raised them all the way at the end in honour of fallen soldiers.
