Libraries host special author talk
RESIDENTS across the Corangamite Shire had the opportunity to hear from Robyn Howarth at their local libraries, including in Camperdown and Derrinallum.

Ms Howarth is the author of the memoir ‘Faraday: A Community Rediscovered’, which tells of her time as one of the six schoolgirls who were kidnapped along with their teacher by two masked men in 1972.
She was taken from the Faraday State School near Castlemaine 54 years ago, which shook the Faraday community.
Ms Howarth and her husband David travelled to south west Victoria last month and held sessions at Corangamite Moyne Library Service across three days.
A Corangamite Moyne Library spokesperson said Ms Howarth shared her tale of recovery from childhood trauma when she spoke at the libraries in Derrinallum and Timboon on Thursday, May 28 and Camperdown and Cobden on Friday, May 29.
“Attendees travelled from locations including Sunbury to attend the session at Derrinallum Library,” the spokesperson said.
“The sessions included morning tea and provided an opportunity for attendees to meet and participate in library-based activities.”
