Mr Scouller has been a member of the men’s shed since it was formed in 2009.

Since then he has been an active member, participating in multiple community initiatives and only slowing down recently.

Fellow Cobden Men’s Shed member Graeme Fagan said Mr Scouller was a valued member of the club.

“He’s been a marvellous man for the shed,” he said.

“He calls a spade a spade and he really loves the men’s shed.

“He started here in 2009 and he was pretty well a regular up until a couple years ago – now he pops in for a cup of coffee.

“He’s always a good worker.

“He always is doing something or sorting something out and he’s an asset to the club.”

Mr Scouller reflected on his time at the club and said he remembered much of the work he’d done over the years.

“We made camping trailers for caravans by the dozens,” he said.

“We lost count at about 50 and we sold them all for $50 a pop.

“That was the sort of thing that got us going back then.

“The men’s shed has done a heck of a lot of work around town fixing things.

“We keep busy – that’s the main thing.”
