Line performance continues strong
PERFORMANCE continued strong on the Warrnambool Line through March, but V/Line has reminded travellers coaches have now replaced trains until May 20 while continued upgrades are underway.

The Warrnambool Line recorded 99.4 per cent for reliability in March, exceeding the 96 per cent monthly reliability target.
The line recorded a punctuality result of 92.9 per cent in March, exceeding the 92 per cent monthly punctuality target.
A V/Line spokesperson said this was the 12th time in the past 13 months performance on the Warrnambool Line had reached both punctuality and reliability monthly targets.
“The Warrnambool Line continues to be one of the best performing on the V/Line network, exceeding the punctuality target for the 13th consecutive month in March and again recording over 99 per cent for reliability,” the spokesperson said.
“Passengers are reminded that coaches are replacing trains until May 20 while crews complete important maintenance works along the Warrnambool Line.
“We encourage people to plan ahead and allow extra time for their journey.”

Trains will operate between Southern Cross and Warrnambool for three days from Tuesday, May 5 to Thursday, May 7 to support passengers travelling to and from the popular Warrnambool May Racing Carnival.
Passengers are encouraged to check the Transport Victoria or V/Line website for details about temporary timetables.
The Victorian Government has announced free travel across the public transport network through May and V/Line train and coach services continue to be popular during this period.
Coaches are replacing Warrnambool Line trains until May 20 while V/Line crews complete track upgrades and maintenance works along the Geelong and Warrnambool lines, including the Warrnambool stabling yard.
“We encourage passengers to plan ahead, allow extra time for their journey and check service information before travelling,” the V/Line spokesperson said.
“We ask passengers to please be patient and treat V/Line staff with respect as they assist you during the free travel period.”
