Lions continue to impress
WITH seven wins on the board, the Noorat Terang Lions continue to stamp their mark on Warrnambool District cricket's division two competition.
Now just over half way through the season, the Lions had a close battle with West Warrnambool last weekend, chasing the visitors score of 8/154.
Best of the bowlers for the home side were Sam Munro with 3/39 from nine and Jesse Unthak 2/22 off three.
In reply the Lions reached 7/156 in the 44th over, with opener David Conheady impressive, making 38 from 60 balls in an innings that included five boundaries.
Middle order batsman Stephen O’Connor finished unbeaten on 32 while team-mates Max Heffernan (29) and Liam Geary (28) were also effective at the crease.
