THE Noorat Terang Lions continued their fine form in division two Warrnambool District cricket last weekend.

In its inaugural season in the league, the Lions now sit fourth on the ladder, undefeated after four rounds.

Last weekend saw the Lions defeat neighbours, the Mortlake Cats, at Terang.

Winning the toss and electing to bat first, Lions’ captain Liam Geary was strong at the crease, notching up a quick 74 from 110 balls which included four boundaries and two sixes.

He was well supported by Isaac Kenna who had a fine knock of 45.

The Lions finished the day at 8/196 after 45 overs.

In reply, Mortlake was held to just 10-51 from 23 overs, with young Riley Kelly the only Cat to reach double figures with his contribution of 16 which included three boundaries.

Best of the bowlers for the Lions were Isaac Kenna with figures of 4-1 off five overs and Tim Keane 3-21 from nine.

Round five this weekend will see the Lions at home to Nestles.
