Lions welcome newest member
CAMPERDOWN Lions Club’s first meeting of the year saw a new member inducted recently, with Andrew Kayler-Thomson welcomed to the club.
Club administration and publicity officer Maree Belyea said the members enjoyed a picnic meal at the Camperdown Botanic Garden last Thursday and were joined by club friends.
“An extra special part of the evening was the induction into the club of new member Andrew (Andy) Kayler-Thomson by president Isabel Riordon,” she said.
“Andy has been a regular at the club over past few months, attending meetings, social events and assisting at various events, including recently at the Camperdown Cup, Ware Street Market barbecue and the Australia Day lunch for Corangamite Shire.
“Andy was sponsored into the club by Andy Riordon and warmly welcomed by all.
“Having more hands to share the workload will help greatly at the wide variety of activities being undertaken by the club in coming months.”
