Lismore juniors shine
LISMORE had the bye in round 15 of the Grenville Cricket Association senior competition last Saturday and tomorrow will play Lexton at Lismore.
In last week’s under 16 match, Lismore defeated Derrinallum at Derrinallum.
The home team batted first, scoring 4/84 from its 25 overs.
Tyler Daffy was impressive for Lismore, taking 3/14 from five overs with the new ball, the other wicket coming from an Angus Moyle run out.
Jack Fay led the way in reply, the opener making 52 retired from 48 balls as Lismore posted 7/109.
Fay hit eight fours and a six in his innings.
Other contributions came from Breanna Daffy with 20 retired from 42 balls and Luke Bond with 12 from eight balls.
In tomorrow morning’s final round under 16 game, Lismore play Linton at Lismore.
The under 12 competition resumed last Friday night, Lismore defeating Carranballac at Lismore.
The visitors batted first, making 105 from their 20 overs.
Liam Barr, Josh McConachy and Matthew Wylie took a wicket each for Lismore.
The home team replied with 118, with Rory Dudman making 17 and 10 each to Liam Barr and Josh McConachy.
Lismore’s under 12s play their final home and away match tonight against Rokewood at Rokewood.
