Lismore marks IWD
RESIDENTS of Lismore gathered at the Fairway Café recently as part of International Women’s Day celebrations.
Organiser Bev Steele said she was delighted to see 24 women in attendance, all enjoying a cup of coffee and breakfast together.
“Guest speaker Georgina Conheady showcased a number of hats she had made, told us about creating hats to suit the people who ordered them, particularly to wear at the races, showed us some of the equipment she used and explained the process,” she said.
“There was a lot of interest in taking up Georgina’s invitation to visit her workshop- studio in Noorat.
“Thank you to Georgina and all who supported this morning event.”
Ms Conheady, who runs Noorat Millinery, also showed some of the tools she used when designing hats.
