Little aths starts tonight
THIS Friday sees the beginning of the Camperdown Little Athletics Season for 2023-2024.
THIS Friday sees the beginning of the Camperdown Little Athletics Season for 2023-2024.
The association welcomes all new and returning families.
The season will run for 15 weeks, with optional Monday night training sessions for all registered members.
For families interested in joining, a free two-week trialling membership is available.
All registration types are still open – simply go to membership@lavic.com.au and search for Camperdown Little Athletics Centre for more information.
Please ensure that athletes wanting to compete this Friday have registered prior to 5pm Wednesday, October 4 (registrations for the rest of the season sessions will remain open and available).
This allows the committee to ensure that athletes name patches are ready for 4.15pm Friday.
This week all participants are required to be registered and SunSmart, in appropriate athletics attire (no bare feet).
The usual red top and black shorts are preferred however this is for the first week only as there are no set uniform requirements.
It is hoped the new club uniforms will arrive next week ready for distribution to families in the next 10 days.
More information about collection times will become available via social media in the coming days.
This year Camperdown Little Athletics has welcomed on board 20 new sponsors.
Each week we will showcase two of these sponsors by giving them the naming rights to the weekly competition nights and promotion via our centre socials.
We ask all parents to consider supporting those that have supported us.
Over the season break we have seen upgrades to our clubrooms and grounds.
Due to this, we will have some areas of the track and the front of our clubrooms out of bounds due to grass reseeding.
We ask all families to please be mindful of taped off areas. (orange plastic bunting)
This year we will again have committee member support on each event, and age group managers with all groups of children.
We ask that all children have a drink bottle with them, and that parents ensure they are labelled.
Coles Supermarkets are again sponsoring Little Athletics Victoria and the centre with weekly free bananas.

We look forward to meeting all new and old friends for an exciting season of family, fun and fitness at the Camperdown College Sports Precinct Track, Frederick St (behind the stadium) Friday at 4.15pm for a 4.30pm start.
