POLICE have urged residents to take care with valuables around vehicles following a spate of thefts from vehicles overnight last Friday.
Corangamite Senior Sergeant Bill Caldow said four incidents occurred.
“Overnight on Friday night, we responded to reports of property stolen from a car in Robinson Street, Camperdown,” he said.
“Coins and tools were stolen from that.
“In Fenton Street, Camperdown, a large number of tools were stolen from a vehicle.
“In York Street, Camperdown, an electrical appliance computer part was stolen from a car.
“In Camperdown-Lismore Road, Chocolyn, car parts were taken from a vehicle there.”
Snr Sgt Caldow urged drivers to be careful with their valuables around vehicles.
“Lock your cars, and don’t leave your keys in the cars,” he said,
“Unfortunately, it’s the way things are these days.”
