Lovely surprise for Camperdown Theatre Company
CAMPERDOWN Theatre Company received quite a surprise last Thursday when they were given a donation to help replace a key piece of musical equipment.

Camperdown Country Women’s Association (CWA) member Julie Tune dropped into Laffs, a store run by the family of theatre company president Toby McKenzie, to deliver the cheque in person.
The $250 donation will go towards replacing the theatre’s piano seat, which is currently broken and doesn’t match the piano.
Ms Tune said she thought about helping after hearing about the piano seat during a talk held at the Theatre Royal recently.
“Toby, he did a great job showing us around,” she said.
“We had a list of things that needed doing, and I said I think I know somebody that might be able to afford it.
“We gave $250 because he had a range of $150 to $250 for the new piano seat.”
Mr Toby McKenzie thanked the CWA for its donation.
“We really appreciate it. It’s a fantastic effort from the CWA,” he said.
“This will go a long way to making it a little bit better for our members.
“At the moment, the one that exists there doesn’t match the piano, and it’s also broken.
“This will help match it all up and make it look much nicer and be much more practical for us.”
