Low rain in February
FOLLOWING January’s spell of dry weather, February offered similar conditions, with the rain tally once again falling well below the long-term average.

Only 15.6mm of rain was recorded over Cobden throughout February, with the highest daily total only reaching 5.8mm on February 15.
Throughout the month, only eight total days recorded some rainfall, most recording less than 2mm of rain.
With the long-term monthly average of rainfall for February sitting at 39.5mm, this month has recorded well under half of the long term average.
This time last year was far drier, however, with only 2.2mm of rain recorded in February 2024.
The current recorded annual rainfall over Cobden is 30.8mm, compared to 60.6mm recorded at this time last year.
