Winner: Susan Taylor was among the three prize winners of the Pot O’ Gold raffle, which were drawn at St Patricks Primary School’s trivia night last Friday.

Tickets were sold over recent weeks in the lead-up to the event, where residents had the opportunity to win Camperdown Cash to spend in businesses within the 3260 postcode.

Principal Darren Lloyd said the evening was a “wonderful” celebration of teamwork, school spirit and fun.

“The Big Room was filled with laughter and friendly rivalry as teams competed across a series of trivia rounds that tested knowledge in everything from history and sport to famous faces,” he said.

“The atmosphere was lively, with plenty of good-natured banter, spot prizes, creative table names and of course the AFL footy finals being televised, adding to the entertainment.

“Congratulations to team ‘Pink Freud’ for taking out first place in the Trivia Night competition for the second year in a row.

“Their quick thinking and teamwork earned them well-deserved bragging rights in what was a close contest that came down to the last round.”

The first prize of the Pot O’ Gold raffle went to Jarrod Woff, who took home $2000 of Camperdown Cash.

Second prize was awarded to Susan Taylor, who won $1000.

The third prize of $500 was awarded to Emily Lloyd.

Mr Lloyd praised the efforts of the organising committee and volunteers, noting events like the Trivia Night not only raised funds for the school but also brought the St Patrick’s community closer together.

“The school extends its heartfelt thanks to everyone who purchased tickets, donated prizes and helped make the raffle such a great success,” he said.

“A special thank you is also extended to the many local businesses who generously sponsored the Pot O’ Gold raffle, helping to make it such a success.

“Funds raised from the evening will go directly towards supporting the upgrade of the playground for the students to enjoy.

“St Patrick’s Primary School thanks everyone who attended and looks forward to welcoming the community again for next year’s event.”
