Make TRACKS to Timboon on Saturday
MAKE tracks to Timboon this weekend for the annual TRACKS Timboon Music Festival.
Timboon Action president Heather Martin encouraged the wider community to attend the popular festival, which continues to grow each year.
TRACKS will be held on Saturday at the Timboon amphitheatre nestled at the start of the Camperdown-Timboon Rail Trail.
The family-friendly event will kick off at 12.30pm, with the Corangamite Shire’s FREEZA stage offering a chance to young performers to show off their skills until 2pm.
Ms Martin said the main part of the festival will run from 2pm to 4pm, with this year’s event featuring a rock theme.
“We’ve got loads of bands and all of them have a local link,” she said.
“We are definitely looking forward to it. We’re super excited.”
On the bill this year is:
Rockit;
Run Bella Run;
Level Up;
The Not Dead Yet Band, and;
Amplitude.
Ms Martin encouraged the community to attend the popular annual event.
“People are welcome to bring their own food, and a chair or picnic rug to enjoy the day,” she said.
“We’ve got plenty of food options including Twisto Potato, Jets Dumplings, Jun’s Home Kitchen, Brendan Bouchier is doing a gourmet barbecue, baked spuds and more.
“The distillery, Keeang Maar and Babche Wines, will be there.
“We want people to come along and enjoy the vibe and atmosphere of Timboon’s natural amphitheatre.”
Wannon Water will have a water refilling station at the festival also.
Ms Martin said Corangamite Shire provided Timboon Action with a grant to run the festival and also received support from Timboon Earthmoving and Timboon Opportunity Shop.
