STUDENTS at Camperdown College’s junior campus performed a variety of Disney songs to celebrate 100 years of Disney last Thursday.

The school saw a large turnout of parents and friends as students performed scenes form Disney movies and plays such as ‘The Lion King’ and ‘Zootopia’.

Concert producer and director Lauren Murphy said the students performed “at their very best” and overcame nerves to deliver the show.

“Performing in front of a hall filled to the brim with our College community, everyone enjoyed this very special night,” she said.

“All the hard work, rehearsals and bloopers really set the scene, for what was a truly magnificent night.

“I would like to say a big thank you to all the students on their performances.

“Thanks to the staff for giving up time for rehearsals in preparation for this very special event and to the parents for the wonderful costumes in each performance.”

Ms Murphy said she was “extremely proud” of the students for making the concert “one to remember”.

“To quote Mickey Mouse ‘when we believe in ourselves and our friends and our families, why there is nothing we can’t do, when you find the dream inside your heart, anything is possible.’,” she said.
