May Noonan residents welcome renovations
RESIDENTS of the May Noonan Centre in Terang have recently enjoyed a sneak peek at the completed refurbishment of the communal areas.
RESIDENTS of the May Noonan Centre in Terang have recently enjoyed a sneak peek at the completed refurbishment of the communal areas.
The refurbishments have drawn high praise, with various residents saying:
“The space is beautiful, and I now feel Ihave dignity.”
“The chairs are comfortable.”
“It’s so relaxing and light.”
The communal area was the first section to be completed among a range of refurbishments to the facility after works had been put on hold for more than a year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The communal area features upgrades to the dining, lounge and library areas, as well as a private dining room for the family of residents to enjoy meals together when restrictions
are lifted.
The design incorporates mobility-friendly flooring, natural and ambient lighting, improved acoustics and new furniture for residents to enjoy.
A Lyndoch Living spokesperson said the refurbishments had earned a tick of approval from delighted residents.
“They feel happy in this space,” the spokesperson said.
“It is homely and they love the fire place.
“We also had additional feedback from Garry Price, who provides music therapy, stating that it was an absolute joy for him to play for the residents.
“The living area is beautiful and the acoustics were amazing.”
Lyndoch Living thanked AWNicholson and Marchese Partners, who were the essential services team managing the design, construction, maintenance and repair of the infrastructure project.
