May rainfall below average
TANKS and dams across the district received a solid top-up last month.

TANKS and dams across the district received a solid top-up last month.
However, rainfall failed to meet the long-term average for the month.
Camperdown recorded 64.4mm of rain for the month, below the long-term averageof 82.3mm.
The highest daily rainfall was recorded on May 31, with 9.8mm falling, according to the Bureau of Meteorology records.
So far this year 252.2mm of rain has fallen over Camperdown, down on the 297.8mm for the same time last year.
In Derrinallum the rainfall was much lower; with 28.6mm of rain hitting the ground. The long-term average is 60.5mm.
The highest daily rainfall was 5.8mm which fell on May 31.
At the end of the month a total of 237.6mm had fallen over Derrinallum for the year.
Lismore was wetter than Derrinallum, with 42.2mm of rain falling, but still below the long-term average of 55mm.
The highest daily rainfall was experienced on May 6, with 9.6mm of rain falling.
For the first five months of the year, 218.7mm of rain hit the ground in Lismore.
