McConnell wins top junior club award
NOEL McConnell has been named Terang Mortlake’s Junior Club Person of the Year.
NOEL McConnell has been named Terang Mortlake’s Junior Club Person of the Year.
McConnell was recognised for his instrumental role in bringing the under 18 girls footy side to life.
The Bloods held their junior vote count and presentation last Sunday, August 27.
In the under 18 girls’ football count, Tayla Bell was named best and fairest while Annabelle Glossop finished runner-up.
Other awards for the team went to Lauren Murray (most improved), Sophie Curran (most consistent), Chloe Bell (most determined) and Maddison Wallace (best first year).
Annabelle Glossop also took out the leading goal kicker award while Myah Johnson was named best in finals.
Kane Killen took out the under 16 best and fairest award and Charlie Kenna was runner-up.
Other under 16 awards went to Oscar Ritchie (most consistent), Jack Richie (most courageous), Charlie Roberts (most improved), Riley Kelly (most promising) and Jack Fowler (best team man).
In the under 14 football count, Sam Wareham won the best and fairest award while Tayte McMaster was runner-up.
Other under 14 award winners were Jesse Fowler (most determined), Spencer Sagnol (most consistent), Elijah Bradbury and Tom Scanlon (coaches awards) and Mason Barr (leading goal kicker).
In the 17 and under reserves netball vote count, Ava Conheady was named best and fairest while Maddison Wallace finished runner-up.
The Bloods award went to Isla Primrose.
In the 15 and under vote count, Lara Clarke topped the pole to win the best and fairest award while Holly Jones finished runner-up.
Pippa Barr received the Bloods award.
Madeline Clarke won the 13 and under best and fairest award, with McKenzie Dillon the runner-up while Hope Kenna received the Bloods award.
Sadie Baker took out the 13 and under reserves best and fairest while Harpa McMaster finished runner-up.
The Bloods award went to Chloe Bouchier.
