McHugh takes Aus 1
LACHLAN McHugh has taken out the 2025 Australian 360LS Sprintcar Championship at Simpson Speedway.
In warm conditions last weekend, McHaugh delivered the goods on Sunday night, taking the chequered flag ahead of Brett Milburn and Jamie Veal.
Now sporting the number one on the Domain Ramsay-owned car, Lockie thrilled fans on the hill with his well-timed race to the finish.
“From all reports received so far, it was a great weekend of racing,” Simpson Speedway president Dale Walsh said.
“We had good crowds there both nights and the racing was terrific; we’re very happy with how it all went.”
The Formula 500s also provided plenty of race action over the weekend, along with the Super Rods and Speedcars.
Results from the weekend were as follows:
Speedcars – 1st Caleb Mills, 2nd Nick Parker and 3rd Michael Conway.
Super Rods – 1st Bailey Pitcher, 2nd Shaun Walsh, 3rd Michael Coad.
Action will return to the Simpson track on Saturday, March 22 with the running of the Victorian Speedcar Title, Victoria Formula 500 Title and the junior sedans.
