Members enjoy a getaway
TERANG and District Probus Club members had an enjoyable excursion to Melbourne recently
The day started with a train trip to Southern Cross Station, then to Docklands where they boarded a river tram to travel up the Maribyrnong River.
The boat crew were very attentive and the captain pointed out places of interest along the journey.
We went via Footscray, past Flemington Racecourse and ending at Poyntons Nursery.
Members wandered around the extensive nursery and were amazed at the large range of plants, gardening aids and outdoor furniture and statues.
Morning tea had been served on the trip up the river and gourmet sandwiches were enjoyed on the return trip.
Members then spent the free time as they wished after returning back to dock.
We returned home on the 5pm train.
