Memorial ramp upgrade finished

THE Camperdown War Memorial will now be accessible to people of all year round.
Corangamite Shire Council manager assets planning John Kelly said council had built a permanent access ramp.
“Establishment of the ramp is supported by both the RSL and Heritage Victoria,” he said.
“For previous remembrance ceremonies council has been required to install a temporary ramp at the memorial for access.
“This new ramp will provide year-round access.”
The ramp was designed to have minimal impact on the historical monument and meets Heritage Victoria guidelines.
The project was funded by the Federal Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure program.
