Milestone games for Tigers
SIMPSON made Lorne work hard for the win on Saturday; the Dolphins holding off the Tigers to record an 11-point win in the round seven Colac and District senior football match at the Simpson Recreation Reserve.
Down by 24 points at three-quarter time, Simpson kicked three final quarter goals to one in the last term in the 7.7.49 to 5.8.38 loss.
Reagan Jones, Darcy Leishman, Ryleigh Mcvilly, Thomas Leishman, Lochie Hawkins and Louis Duynhoven were the Tigers best in the loss, with Jarrod Garth the only multiple goal kicker with three.
Lochie Hawkins played his 100th senior game for Simpson in the match.
The reserves match saw Lorne score a 17.15.117 to 5.1.31 win.
Peter Bell, Jono Jennings and Zach Anderson were Simpson’s best, with Jennings kicking all five goals.
Ash Royal and Cooper Neal played their 100th club games in the reserves clash.
The under 15 football saw Lorne win 8.8.56 to 1.4.10.
Fin Mahoney, Lucas Woolstencroft and Archer Crole were best for Simpson, with Harry Vogels kicking the only goal.
Lorne won the under 12 football by 26 points, 6.6.42 to 2.4.16.
The A grade netball saw Lorne defeat Simpson 65-43.
Carol Arndell, Paige Salmon and Amy Pemberton were the Tigers best in the loss, with Eliza Duynhoven scoring 22 goals and Shelby Cameron 21.
The B grade game saw a 28-22 win for Lorne.
Tahlia Daniels, Lucy De Jong and Tyra Sambell were best for Simpson, with Jessie Harding shooting 16 goals.
Simpson took out the C grade game with a 45-26 win.
Chloe Cameron, Rachael Duynhoven and Rachel Perrett, playing in her 150th senior club game, were best for Simpson, with Duynhoven scoring 25 goals and Kayla Hallyburton 18.
In D grade, Simpson had a 38-23 win.
Mason Rothery, Charlotte Plozza and Kate McVilly were best for the Tigers, with Brianna Ferrari and Rebecca Foster shooting 19 goals each.
Simpson scored a 33-31 win in the 17 and under netball.
Tyra Sambell, Kustom Robertson and Gabrielle Montano were best for the Tigers in the win, with Robertson shooting 23 goals.
Lorne got the points in the 15 and under netball with a 42-29 win.
Keisha McVilly, Milah Crole and Courtney Blain were best for the Tigers, with River Rothery scoring 15 goals and McVilly 14.
The 13 and under netball saw Simpson register a big 47-13 win.
Nyha Ford, Peyton Robertson and Kensie Austin were best for the junior Tigers, with Peyton Robertson scoring 21 goals, Mia Arndell 12 and Nyha Ford 11.
The Colac and District Football Netball League breaks this weekend for interleague, with Simpson’s next game on June 13 against South Colac at the Elliminyt Recreation Reserve.
