Minor delays expected
WORKS are continuing on the Fenton Street social housing homes in Camperdown, with some road disruptions experienced on the Camperdown-Cobden Road.
Reduced speed limits and traffic control were established near the Fenton Street turn-off as plumbing works were conducted on the side of the road.
The housing lot is part of the Victorian Government’s $5.3 billion Big Housing Build project, which aims to deliver around 12,000 new social and affordable homes across the state.
A Homes Victoria spokesperson said there may be future traffic delays as the project continues.
“Homes Victoria and Women’s Housing Limited are partnering to develop 13 new social housing homes in Camperdown, with funding for the development provided through the Government’s Big Housing Build,” the spokesperson said.
“Construction work on the site is continuing and the project should be completed by late 2024.”
