Mixed results for league netballers
MININERA League’s under 15 netball side qualified for the grand final of last weekend’s round-robin event in Portland.

The team, which included Caramut’s Yoli O’Sullivan and Gracie O’Sullivan, Woorndoo Mortlake’s Ashlee Killen, Lacey Killen and Natalie Krepp, and Lismore Derrinallum’s Maddison Mitchell and Georgia Kerr, played 10 rounds and finished with eight wins and a draw.
They celebrated a big win over Warrnambool District League in the semi-final but went down to Hampden League by four goals in the grand final.
Mininera’s under 17 representative side also competed in Portland but found the opposition tough, recording no wins for the day.

Included in the under 17 side were Woorndoo Mortlake’s Bella Wardlaw and Wickliffe Lake Bolac players Chloe McQualter and Joslyn Cameron.
The league’s under 13 side included Caramut’s Payson Walker, Woorndoo Mortlake’s Paige Maddock and Lismore Derrinallum players Eliza Kerr and Oscar Stephenson.
The under 13s represented the league in Ballarat on Sunday, May 10.
The under 15 side also played in Ballarat and finished the day with five wins, going down to Ballarat Football Netball League by one goal in the semi-final.
The teams will now look forward to contesting the association championships in Warrnambool on Sunday, May 31.
