The Monash Motorsport team again spent time at the track perfecting their vehicle.

The team recently returned from the Eureopean campaign and were busy fine-tuning ahead of another competition – the Formula Student Australasia event.

Team chief operating officer Nihar Ringe said members of the team spent Friday and Saturday at the track.

“The idea is to get our drivers time in the car after a very long break,” he said.

“We’re preparing to leave for competition at Calder Park on Wednesday (today).”

The Monash Motorsport team has more than 100 students involved in the project, with team members having a range of study backgrounds including engineering, commerce, marketing and design.

As part of the project the team members work to build the electric car from the ground up each season.

Mr Ringe said the team enjoys spending time at the Cobden track.

“We appreciate being here,” he said.

“It’s by far he most versatile facility we have.

“It’s the only place we get to do high-speed testing.

“We are very happy to be here.”

The vehicle can travel up to 120 km per hour.
