At this stage, Mortlake remains in the top two if not, top spot but was unconfirmed at the time of printing. Stay tuned.

Last Sunday a few Mortlakeians represented the club at region level in their respective fours matches.

WDPA Womens Fours Champion Harmony Rasmussen playing with Kate Lloyd, Adele Sayer and Steph Hunt from City Memorial BC.

Unfortunately, they had their hands full with the Far Western Playing Area side and went down 13-17.

A great effort nonetheless and well done.

Rounding out the region coverage this week are the WDPA Mens Fours Champions Les and Kevin Johnson, along with Wayne Cooper (Warrnambool BC) and Barry Stonehouse (Terang BC).

Unfortunately, they also had their hands full with the Far Western Playing Area side from Portland RSL, going down 10-19.

A great effort to get this far and well done.

Just a few reminders to end the week with:

  • Les Risk Day that was scheduled last Sunday was postponed due to excessive heat. The new date is to be advised in due course.

  • For those members playing in the Mixed Triples tournament, catering has asked members to supply two plates of food for visitors if possible.

If you are available to help out on the day (playing or otherwise), please let Scott know as soon as possible.

  • Mens Pairs round two is to be completed on or before Sunday, Feb 18.

  • Mixed Pairs entries close on Saturday, Feb 17.

Next week we track the midweek pennant finals action and the aftermath of the last round of weekend pennant.
