Mortlake wins Edwin Currie Cup
MORTLAKE golfers have taken out the WDGA Edwin Currie Cup on their home course last weekend.

The event was first held in 1933 before going into recess during WW2.
Teams from Camperdown, Cobden, Colac, Dartmoor, East Framlingham, the Grampians, Hamilton, Mortlake and Terang contested the four-person ambrose on Sunday.
The winning team (Mortlake team 4) comprised Will Berryman, Jack Lehmann, Ryan Tanner and Kurt Robertson, finished on 8 3/4-67-58 ¼.
The runners-up (Mortlake team 1) were Richard van Diemen, Dave McNicoll, Aaron Davies and Bruce Twaddle on 11.5-71-59.5.
Nearest the pins: 3/12 Aaron Davies (Mortlake), 6/15 Darren Cook (Colac) and 9/1 Wayne Drayton (Colac).
The longest drive: 2/11 Josh Murfitt (Colac), 5/14 Jack Heanley (Camperdown).
