Part of Camperdown’s annual Good Friday Appeal, the event will see four music acts come together for a day of music, fun and connection.

Ian ‘Bidge’ Boyd, one of the performing artists and organiser of Music by the Lake, said this year would not mess with the traditional formula which has seen the event continue to be a success.

“We’ve got four musicians but it’ll be the same as other years with raffles, competitions and other things,” he said.

“We’ll be auctioning off a couple of trailer loads of firewood, which we’ve done the past two or three years.

“The coffee van this year will be a local business with coffee, lollies and milkshakes available – which should be good.

“Music-wise, we’ve got a couple less this year but that means we can give more time to the others.”

Mr Boyd will be joined at the Lake Purrumbete Holiday Park by Kinta, Allan Webster and Rhiannon McArthur and Pete Daffy from 12noon on Friday, April 3.

He said last year’s total of $8900 would be hard to beat but welcomed all donations made to the appeal.

“I wouldn’t expect to break records again this year with the way things are going with fuel prices and cost of living, but any money we make is appreciated,” he said.

Anyone wishing to attend is asked to bring their own shade and chairs, as well as a gold coin donation for entry.
