Music on the hill
RED Hill Hall will open for a day of live music as Music on the Hill returns for its third year, promising an afternoon of good tunes and great vibes.

This Saturday, February 21 will see the event begin at 12noon as artists take the stage to a crowd outside the hall.
Red Hill Hall secretary Sharyn Finlayson said four live bands would perform on the day, ensuring to keep the good times rolling well into the afternoon.
“We’ve got June Skye, she’s our solo artist, and Re Spin is a band of three young guys from Colac,” she said.
“Level Up are well-known to Red Hill’s Music on the Hill – this is their third one they’re a cover band and we’ve got the Flamin’ 80s, which is our main band of the day.
“So we have four bands, starting at 12noon and going until 5pm, maybe even a bit later because they’re going to do an hour or so each.”
Entry for children under 12 is free, a gold coin entry for over 12s and $20 entry for adults.
Mrs Finlayson said the event was fundraising for the hall to hopefully upgrade their facilities.
“We want to get new toilets, we want to upgrade the hall but our main aim is to get new all accessible toilets because we don’t have any disabled access toilets for the females,” she said.
“We’re very proud of our little country hall and it’s the hub of the district.
“We want to keep going and enjoy days like the Music on the Hill that brings the whole community together – not just our community but Cobden, Camperdown, Warrnambool and Colac hopefully will all travel for the day.”
The event will include a barbecue and raffle prizes, as well as a coffee van.
Attendees are encouraged to BYO drinks, nibbles, chairs and picnic rugs as the event is designed as an outdoor festival around the hall, not inside.
Music on the Hill is supported by Corangamite Shire Council and all enquiries can be made to Mrs Finlayson on 0409 253 727.
