MOUNT Leura and Mount Sugarloaf Management Committee members welcomed three new additions and the committee was put straight to work.
The committee welcomed new members: Simon Buccheri, Chris Warran, and Megan Bridger-Darling.
Current committee members are Caroline Duynhoven (chairperson), Frances Grundy (secretary), Graham Arkinstall, and Roland Herbert (Corangamite Shire representative).
The committee looks forward to working with them to manage the reserves, a significant local asset, on behalf of the Corangamite Shire, according to Ms Duynhoven.
“These new members were immediately put to work helping to finalise plans for this Sunday’s NAIDOC event at Mount Leura,”she said.
“This free local event will be run by a local elder and include a flag raising, acknowledgement of country and ngootyoong Karween/smoking ceremony.
“It starts at 11am and will be held in the Lower Shelter at Mt Leura,” added Frances Grundy.
The committee encourages wider Camperdown residents to attend the event.
