NAPLAN excellence at Cobden Tech
COBDEN Technical School is proud to acknowledge the strong performance of its Year 9 students in the 2025 NAPLAN assessments.

While staff are still working with initial data, early results indicate significant learning growth across key areas – particularly in reading.
Six students have already been recognised with certificates for achieving results in the ‘Exceeding’ category or for demonstrating more than two years of learning growth since their Year seven assessments.
In addition, many students outperformed those in similar schools, which reflects their commitment to learning and the support provided by Cobden Technical School’s dedicated teaching staff.
Principal Narelle Holliday praised the effort and attitude shown by students during the assessments.
“We’re incredibly proud of how our students approached NAPLAN this year,” she said.
“They understood that strong results open up better learning opportunities in the future – not just for individuals, but for the school community as a whole.”
The Year seven students also performed well, showing strong engagement with the testing process and a positive attitude throughout.
As their previous NAPLAN tests were completed in primary school, staff will receive growth comparison data later in the year.
Individual reports will be sent home to families and Cobden Technical School would like to congratulate all students who participated and thank them for giving their best.
