Nazareth wins carnival
NAZARETH has taken out this year’s St Patrick’s Primary School athletics carnival.
After points were tallied, Nazareth finished on top of the leaderboard, closely followed by Lourdes in second place, Fatima in third and Mercy fourth.
The annual carnival, held on Tuesday, March 12 at the Frederick Street oval, was enjoyed by students in years three to six.
Students competed in a range of events throughout the day, including tennis ball throw, shotput, discus, high jump, long jump, hurdles and sprints.
Congratulations to the following age group champions:
12 years – Harry Sinnott and Edie Molan.
11 years – Harvey Townsend/Cess Evans and Zahlia Hill.
10 years – Roy Molan and Emma Lillie/Marlee Fitzgerald/Pippa Woodmason.
9 years – Anderson Vallejo/Josh McConachy and Willow Wills.
8 years – Maxwell Hutt and Maya O’Shannessy.
7 years – Mitchell Barr and Tilly Brebner.
5/6 years – Leo Hutt and Emerson Courtney.
