New home for Gum Valley Patchwork
TIMBOON continues to become a destination for shoppers across the region with Gum Valley Patchwork opening up a shop this month.
TIMBOON continues to become a destination for shoppers across the region with Gum Valley Patchwork opening up a shop this month.
Owner Linda White, who has owned the shop for more than 16 years, jumped at the chance to move the location from Cooriemungle into Timboon.
“It’s been really good,” she said.
Mrs White said the shop, located in Main Street Timboon, opened on October 11.
“Wednesday we had probably 40 people go through and the other days have been good too,” she said.
“A lot of people have embraced it.
“We’ve had people from all around coming through.”
Mrs White said now being located in Timboon would be a positive for the business.
“It’s more of a destination being in Timboon,” she said.
“I’m excited for the future. I have more exposure here.
“I also think it will have a flow on effect to other businesses in town.”
After more than 16 years operating from the family home in Cooriemungle, Mrs White said the opportunity had come up to buy the building in Timboon.
“It was time to separate home and business again and try somewhere new,” she said.
Gum Valley Patchwork is open Wednesday to Saturday between 10am and 4pm.
